I love hiking, I love my hiking boots, but until recently I hated the thought of tying them. Usually, in an elementary frame of defiance I would double knot my laces and then use my eyelet hooks to snug up my boots just before trekking off into the wilderness. Call me old or cal me lazy, I have this thing about tying my shoes and I have been that way all my life. Yes, I was the eighties kid with untied white high-tops.
Long story short, I found elastic locking laces and I fell in love. Not only did it solve the issue I faced but also helped out my son with his phobia. After some usage and a couple adjustments to create a better biting surface for the locking mechanism, I am happy to share the Haggard Grip-Tight Locking Elastic Lace.
The elastic laces bungee you shoes to your feet and allow for flexibility not found when tightening normal laces. Feet are held securely in place while allowed the motion needed for comfortable walking, hiking, and running.
You will love THEM!
